Of that sum, just 3,000 were in album sales, while the rest was overwhelmingly powered by streaming activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elsewhere in the top 10, rappers Lil Tjay and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/wale\">Wale<\/a>&nbsp;also arrive, as the former\u2019s&nbsp;<em>True 2 Myself<\/em>&nbsp;starts at No. 5, while the latter\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Wow\u2026 That\u2019s Crazy<\/em>&nbsp;launches at No. 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on\u00a0multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new\u00a0Oct. 26-dated chart, where\u00a0<em>AI YoungBoy 2\u00a0<\/em>bows at No. 1,\u00a0will be posted in full on\u00a0<em>Billboard<\/em>&#8216;s websites on Oct. 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new 18-track album starts with 110,000 equivalent album units earned, and of that figure, only 3,000 were from album sales. 1,000 were in TEA units, while 106,000 were in SEA units. The latter figure equates to 144.7 million on-demand audio streams earned for the album\u2019s tracks in its first week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>AI YoungBoy 2<\/em>&nbsp;is the 12th chart entry on the Billboard 200 for the Baton Rouge, La. artist, who has visited the top 10 once before, with 2018\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Until Death Call My Name<\/em>&nbsp;(No. 7, May 12, 2018). In 2018 alone, eight YoungBoy projects bowed on the chart. The new album is the sequel to 2017\u2019s&nbsp;<em>AI YoungBoy<\/em>, which debuted and peaked at No. 24 (Aug. 26, 2017).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>AI YoungBoy 2<\/em>\u00a0is the 20-year-old rapper\u2019s first album after being\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/hip-hop\/8532782\/nba-youngboy-ai-youngboy-2\">released<\/a>\u00a0from prison in August. (The rapper turned 20 today, Oct. 20.)\u00a0The set was preceded by the song \u201cSelf Control,\u201d which reached the top 30 of the Hot R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Songs chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At No. 2,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/post-malone\">Post Malone<\/a>\u2019s former No. 1&nbsp;<em>Hollywood\u2019s Bleeding<\/em>&nbsp;climbs one rung with 99,000 equivalent album units (though down 8%). Summer Walker\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Over It<\/em>&nbsp;slips 2-3 in its second week with 78,000 units (down 42%) and DaBaby\u2019s former leader&nbsp;<em>Kirk<\/em>&nbsp;is steady at No. 4 with 55,000 units (down 26%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lil Tjay\u2019s debut album&nbsp;<em>True 2 Myself<\/em>&nbsp;bows at No. 5 with 45,000 equivalent album units earned (1,000 in album sales). The 17-track project features the top 30-charting Hot R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Songs hit \u201cF.N.\u201d The 18-year-old first made waves on&nbsp;<em>Billboard<\/em>\u2019s charts thanks to his featured turn on Polo G\u2019s \u201cPop Out\u201d earlier this year. The track reached No. 7 on Hot R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Songs (June 22).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/taylor-swift\">Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2019s former No. 1&nbsp;<em>Lover<\/em>&nbsp;falls one slot to No. 6 in its eighth week on the chart, with 44,000 equivalent album units earned (down 13%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wale\u2019s sixth studio album,&nbsp;<em>Wow\u2026 That\u2019s Crazy<\/em>, launches at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 with 38,000 equivalent album units (5,000 in album sales).&nbsp;<em>Wow<\/em>&nbsp;marks Wale\u2019s fourth top 10 effort, following&nbsp;<em>The Album About Nothing&nbsp;<\/em>(No. 1 in 2015),&nbsp;<em>The Gifted<\/em>&nbsp;(No. 1, 2013) and&nbsp;<em>Ambition<\/em>&nbsp;(No. 2, 2011).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rounding out the new top 10 are a trio of former No. 1s: Billie Eilish\u2019s\u00a0<em>When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We All Go?<\/em>\u00a0(7-8 with 34,000 equivalent album units; down 10%),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chris-brown\">Chris Brown<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>Indigo<\/em>\u00a0(6-9 with 33,000 units; down 16%) and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/young-thug\">Young Thug<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>So Much Fun<\/em>\u00a0(holding at No. 10 with nearly 33,000 units; down 8%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: billboard.com<\/p>\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-1586\" data-postid=\"1586\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-1586 themify_builder themify_builder_front\">\r\n\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<!-- \/themify_builder_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Plus: Lil Tjay and Wale debut in top 10.
