It also becomes his first No. 1 on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/pop-songs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pop Airplay<\/a>&nbsp;radio chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated July 17) will update on\u00a0Billboard.com\u00a0tomorrow (July 13) For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"650\" height=\"360\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WMweEpGlu_U\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Butter,&#8221; released on HYBE\/BigHit Music\/Columbia Records, drew 29.1 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 6%) and 10.8 million U.S. streams (down 1%) and sold 108,800 (down 29%) in the week ending July 8, according to MRC Data. (See below for details regarding a change, effective this week, to the Hot 100&#8217;s airplay tracking week.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The track adds a seventh week atop the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/digital-song-sales\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Digital Song Sales<\/a>&nbsp;chart and climbs 23-21 on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/radio-songs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Radio Songs<\/a>&nbsp;and 31-26 on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/streaming-songs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Streaming Songs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Butter&#8221; concurrently enters the Pop Airplay top 10 (11-10), becoming BTS&#8217; second top 10 on the mainstream top 40 radio-based chart, after &#8220;Dynamite&#8221; hit No. 5 last December. BTS is the first all-South Korean act with multiple Pop Airplay top 10s. One other artist from South Korea has reached the Pop Airplay top 10: soloist PSY, whose &#8220;Gangnam Style&#8221; hit No. 10 in October 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BTS is set to debut on next week&#8217;s, July 24-dated Hot 100 with its newest single, &#8220;Permission to Dance,&#8221;\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/k-town\/9598563\/bts-permission-to-dance-stream\" target=\"_blank\">released Friday<\/a>\u00a0(July 9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olivia Rodrigo&#8217;s &#8220;Good 4 U&#8221; holds at No. 2 on the Hot 100, seven weeks after it&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/news\/9577508\/olivia-rodrigo-good-4-u-number-one-debut-hot-100\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">opened at No. 1<\/a>. It posts a seventh week atop Streaming Songs (27.6 million, down 9%); holds at No. 6 on Radio Songs, with 61.3 million impressions, up 15%, as it wins the Hot 100&#8217;s top Airplay Gainer award for a sixth week; and falls 5-9 on Digital Song Sales (8,200, down 14%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dua Lipa&#8217;s &#8220;Levitating,&#8221; featuring DaBaby, rebounds 4-3 on the Hot 100, after reaching No. 2, as it tallies a third week at No. 1 on Radio Songs (79.7 million, down 2%), while Doja Cat&#8217;s &#8220;Kiss Me More,&#8221; featuring SZA, dips to No. 4 from its No. 3 Hot 100 high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"650\" height=\"360\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6swmTBVI83k\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lil Nas X&#8217;s &#8220;Montero (Call Me by Your Name)&#8221; jumps 8-5 on the Hot 100, returning to the top five for the first time since the chart dated May 1, after it&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/hip-hop\/9551483\/lil-nas-x-montero-number-one-hot-100\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">launched at No. 1<\/a>&nbsp;on the list dated April 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it rises 5-4 on Radio Songs (65.5 million, up 7%), &#8220;Montero&#8221; hits No. 1 on the Pop Airplay chart, becoming Lil Nas X&#8217;s first leader on the ranking. He previously peaked as high as No. 3 on Pop Airplay with his breakthrough smash &#8220;Old Town Road,&#8221; featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, in 2019; the song ruled the Hot 100 for a\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/8524232\/lil-nas-x-old-town-road-week-by-week-number-one\" target=\"_blank\">record 19 weeks<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lil Nas X leads his fifth airplay chart. He previously topped (all in 2019): Rhythmic Airplay, with &#8220;Road&#8221; (three weeks) and &#8220;Panini&#8221; (one week); Dance\/Mix Show Airplay and Rap Airplay, with &#8220;Road&#8221; (four weeks each); and Mainstream R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Airplay, with &#8220;Road&#8221; (three weeks).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(&#8220;Montero&#8221; makes its three-spot jump in a tightly contested part of the Hot 100, with the songs at Nos. 5 through 9 all close in chart points, and each down week-over-week; The track sports the smallest overall decrease, and greatest airplay gain, among them.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ed Sheeran&#8217;s &#8220;Bad Habits&#8221; descends 5-6 in its second week on the Hot 100. It pushes 11-10 on Radio Songs (43.4 million), where it becomes his 10th top 10; at three weeks, it ties &#8220;I Don&#8217;t Care,&#8221; with Justin Bieber, in 2019, for Sheeran&#8217;s fastest flight to the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Leave the Door Open&#8221; by Silk Sonic, the duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, slips 6-7 on the Hot 100, after two nonconsecutive weeks on top.
