It claims the longest stay at the summit since Roddy Ricch\u2019s \u201cThe Box\u201d also ran up 11 weeks at No. 1 in January-March 2020. No song has led longer since Lil Nas X\u2019s \u201cOld Town Road,\u201d featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, ruled for a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/pro\/lil-nas-x-old-town-road-week-by-week-number-one\/\">record 19 weeks<\/a>\u00a0in April-August 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, \u201cAs It Was\u201d logs its unprecedented fifth distinct run at No. 1 on the Hot 100, after it first reigned upon its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/harry-styles-as-it-was-number-one-billboard-hot-100-debut-1235057698\/\">debut in April<\/a>. It has since yo-yoed among the top three spots and last led, until the latest list, in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated Sept. 3, 2022) will update on&nbsp;Billboard.com&nbsp;tomorrow (Aug. 30). For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"post-video\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Harry Styles - As It Was (Official Video)\" width=\"1165\" height=\"874\" src=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/embed\/H5v3kku4y6Q?wmode=transparent&#038;fs=1\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs It Was,\u201d released on Erskine\/Columbia Records, tallied 71.3 million radio airplay audience impressions (down 1%), 15.2 million streams (up 2%) and 4,000 downloads sold (up 1%) in the Aug. 19-25 tracking week, according to Luminate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The track holds at No. 2 after four weeks atop the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/radio-songs\/\">Radio Songs<\/a>&nbsp;chart, beginning in May; rises 7-6 on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/streaming-songs\">Streaming Songs<\/a>, after two weeks on top starting in its debut week in April; and drops 15-22 on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/digital-song-sales\/\">Digital Song Sales<\/a>, following a week in the lead in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, \u201cAs It Was\u201d makes history as the first song to claim five distinct stays at No. 1 on the Hot 100. That\u2019s the third-longest span for a song topping the chart, over the survey\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/hot-100-64-years-fun-facts-ricky-nelson-lizzo-1235122282\/\">64-year history<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 and the most for a song in a single release cycle. Carey\u2019s \u201cChristmas\u201d holds the record for the longest stretch from a song\u2019s first to its most recent week at No. 1: two years and three weeks (Dec. 21, 2019-Jan. 8, 2022), having passed Chubby Checker\u2019s \u201cThe Twist,\u201d which led in two distinct runs spanning a year and four months (Sept. 19, 1960-Jan. 20, 1962). \u201cAs It Was\u201d leapfrogs Lil Nas X\u2019s \u201cOld Town Road,\u201d which logged its unmatched 19-week command all without interruption (April 13-Aug. 17, 2019).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus, \u201cAs It Was\u201d notches a 13th week atop the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/summer-songs\/\">Songs of the Summer<\/a>\u00a0chart, as it has led the seasonal survey, which tracks the biggest hits between Memorial Day and Labor Day, each week this summer. (One more week remains in this year\u2019s tracking period, with the top hits of all of summer 2022 scheduled to be revealed next week, as reflected on the chart dated Sept. 10.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lizzo\u2019s \u201cAbout Damn Time\u201d rebounds 3-2 on the Hot 100 after two weeks at No. 1. It adds an eighth week atop Radio Songs (74.3 million, down 8%), as well as a 13th week at No. 1 on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/r-and-b-songs\/\">Hot R&amp;B Songs<\/a>&nbsp;and a fifth frame atop&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/r-b-hip-hop-songs\">Hot R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Songs<\/a>, with both charts using the same multi-metric methodology as the Hot 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steve Lacy\u2019s first Hot 100 top 10, \u201cBad Habit,\u201d jumps from No. 6 to a new No. 3 high, as it returns for a second week at No. 1 on Streaming Songs (20.8 million, down 1%). The track also becomes his first No. 1 on the multi-metric&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/rock-songs\">Hot Rock &amp; Alternative Songs<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/hot-rock-songs\/\">Hot Rock Songs<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/hot-alternative-songs\">Hot Alternative Songs<\/a>&nbsp;charts. (It additionally ascends to No. 2 on both Hot R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot R&amp;B Songs.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kate Bush\u2019s \u201cRunning Up That Hill (A Deal With God)\u201d climbs 5-4 on the Hot 100 after reaching No. 3; Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s \u201cBreak My Soul\u201d slips 4-5 after two weeks atop the Hot 100, as it leads the multi-metric&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/dance-electronic-songs\/\">Hot Dance\/Electronic Songs<\/a>&nbsp;chart for a ninth week; and Nicky Youre and dazy\u2019s \u201cSunroof\u201d rolls 7-6 for a new Hot 100 best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nicki Minaj\u2019s \u201cSuper Freaky Girl\u201d falls to No. 7 on the Hot 100 a week after it&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/nicki-minaj-super-freaky-girl-debuts-atop-billboard-hot-100-1235129278\/\">launched at No. 1<\/a>. While down 14% to 18.1 million streams and 83% to 15,000 sold in its second week of availability, the track sports a 105% surge to 9.2 million in radio audience.
