It&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/morgan-wallen-last-night-hot-100-number-one-1235285151\/\">first ruled<\/a>&nbsp;last month, marking the country singer-songwriter\u2019s initial No. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The song is from Wallen\u2019s LP\u00a0<em>One Thing at a Time<\/em>, which notches a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/morgan-wallen-one-thing-at-a-time-number-one-sixth-week-billboard-200-chart-1235304084\/\">sixth week at No. 1<\/a>\u00a0on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/billboard-200\/\">Billboard 200<\/a>\u00a0albums chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elsewhere in the Hot 100\u2019s top tier,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/drake\/\">Drake<\/a>\u2019s \u201cSearch &amp; Rescue\u201d launches at No. 2. A multi-format radio hit, it pushes to No. 13 on the Country Airplay chart, No. 20 on Pop Airplay and No. 21 on Adult Pop Airplay and debuts at No. 27 on Adult Contemporary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLast Night\u201d concurrently leads the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/country-songs\/\">Hot Country Songs<\/a>&nbsp;chart, which uses the same methodology as the Hot 100, for a 10th week. It became just the 20th song to have topped both lists \u2013 and the first by a solo male unaccompanied by any other acts since Eddie Rabbitt\u2019s \u201cI Love a Rainy Night\u201d ruled Hot Country Songs for a week and the Hot 100 for two weeks in 1981.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As \u201cLast Night\u201d has now ruled Hot Country Songs for 10 weeks and the Hot 100 for three, it\u2019s the first song among those that have topped both charts with that many weeks atop that pair of tallies since Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cWe Are Never Ever Getting Back Together\u201d also ran up 10 and three weeks at No. 1, respectively, in 2012-13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"post-video\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Drake - Search &amp; Rescue (Official Visualizer)\" width=\"1165\" height=\"655\" src=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/embed\/ntp9_iznQ-0?wmode=transparent&#038;fs=1\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Drake\u2019s \u201cSearch &amp; Rescue\u201d bounds onto the Hot 100 at No. 4. After it&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/rb-hip-hop\/drake-search-and-rescue-1235299379\/\">premiered April 7<\/a>&nbsp;(a day after he announced the song\u2019s pending release), it begins with 33.8 million streams, 6.9 million in radio airplay audience and 3,600 sold through April 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The track opens at No. 1 on Streaming Songs, becoming Drake\u2019s record-furthering 16th leader. (While the song\u2019s sum of raw streams is the week\u2019s second highest, after Wallen\u2019s \u201cLast Night,\u201d \u201cSearch &amp; Rescue\u201d tops the chart due to the application of weighting to all titles\u2019 paid\/subscription and ad-supported on-demand streams and programmed\/radio streams.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drake posts his record-extending 68th Hot 100 top 10, and first of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most Billboard Hot 100 Top 10s:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>68, Drake<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>40, Taylor Swift<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>38, Madonna<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>34, The Beatles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>32, Rihanna<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30, Michael Jackson<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>29, Elton John<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>28, Mariah Carey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>28, Stevie Wonder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>27, Janet Jackson<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSearch &amp; Rescue\u201d is also Drake\u2019s record-padding 35th top five Hot 100 hit (distancing himself further from runners-up The Beatles\u2019 29); his 174th top 40 hit (ahead of Taylor Swift, second with 105); and his 294th entry overall (with the&nbsp;<em>Glee<\/em>&nbsp;Cast second with 207). (He adds his 20th top two hit; The Beatles and Mariah Carey lead with 23 each.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The track concurrently crowns the multi-metric&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/r-b-hip-hop-songs\">Hot R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Songs<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/rap-song\/\">Hot Rap Songs<\/a>&nbsp;charts upon its debut, marking Drake\u2019s record-extending 27th and 28th No. 1s on the surveys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We did some re-\u2018search\u2019: \u201cSearch &amp; Rescue\u201d is the highest-charting Hot 100 hit with \u201csearch\u201d in its title, surpassing Survivor\u2019s No. 4-peaking love song \u201cThe Search Is Over\u201d in 1985. (Honorable mention to the No. 3 classic \u201cLove Potion Number Nine,\u201d in 1965, by The Searchers.) Drake\u2019s new hit is also the highest charting with \u201crescue\u201d in its name. It bests The Rolling Stones\u2019 \u201cEmotional Rescue\u201d (No. 3, 1980), followed by \u201cRescue Me\u201d by Fontella Bass (No. 4, 1965).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miley Cyrus\u2019 \u201cFlowers\u201d keeps at No. 3 on the Hot 100, after eight weeks at No. 1, beginning upon its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/miley-cyrus-flowers-number-one-debut-hot-100-bizarrap-shakira-top-10-1235204226\/\">debut<\/a>\u00a0in January. It claims a ninth week atop Radio Songs (93.5 million in audience, down 9%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SZA\u2019s \u201cKill Bill\u201d retreats to No. 4 on the Hot 100, from No. 2, where it has spent eight weeks at its highpoint. It also dominates the multi-metric&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/r-and-b-songs\/\">Hot R&amp;B Songs<\/a>&nbsp;charts for a 17th week. (Its&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/rb-hip-hop\/doja-cat-sza-kill-bill-1235302783\/\">new remix<\/a>&nbsp;featuring Doja Cat arrived Friday, April 14, and will begin contributing to next week\u2019s charts [dated April 29], with all versions of the song rolling up into one chart listing.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Metro Boomin, The Weeknd and 21 Savage\u2019s \u201cCreepin\u2019 \u201d dips 4-5 on the Hot 100, after hitting No. 3, and Rema and Selena Gomez\u2019s \u201cCalm Down\u201d climbs 7-6 for a new high. The latter tops the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/billboard-u-s-afrobeats-songs\/\">Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs<\/a>&nbsp;chart for a 33rd week, extending the longest rule since the ranking&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/afrobeats-songs-chart-first-anniversary-calm-down-tems-burna-boy-1235295679\/\">began a year ago<\/a>&nbsp;(in partnership with music festival and global brand&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/t\/afro-nation\/\">Afro Nation<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Weeknd and Ariana Grande\u2019s \u201cDie for You\u201d drops 5-7 on the Hot 100, following a week&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/the-weeknd-ariana-grande-die-for-you-number-one-billboard-hot-100-1235280422\/\">at No. 1<\/a>&nbsp;in March, and PinkPantheress and Ice Spice\u2019s \u201cBoy\u2019s a Liar, Pt. 2\u201d slips 6-8, after reaching No. 3. Still, the latter becomes each act\u2019s first top 10 on Radio Songs (14-10; 40.9 million, up 3%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cAnti-Hero\u201d descends 8-9 on the Hot 100, following a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/taylor-swift-anti-hero-eighth-week-number-one-zach-bryan-top-10-1235199856\/\">personal-best<\/a>&nbsp;eight weeks at No. 1 in November-January. It has now spent 24 weeks in the top 10 \u2013 equaling Swift\u2019s longest stay in the region, first set by \u201cShake It Off\u201d in 2014-15. Next up, her \u201cBlank Space\u201d totaled 17 weeks in the top 10, also in 2014-15, followed by \u201cI Knew You Were Trouble.\u201d (16 weeks, 2012-13) and \u201cYou Belong With Me\u201d (16, 2009).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"post-video\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ella Baila Sola - (Video Oficial) - Eslabon Armado y Peso Pluma - DEL Records 2023\" width=\"1165\" height=\"655\" src=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/embed\/lZiaYpD9ZrI?wmode=transparent&#038;fs=1\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Rounding out the Hot 100\u2019s top 10, Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma\u2019s \u201cElla Baila Sola\u201d soars 17-10, led by 24.4 million streams, up 30%, as it wins the Hot 100\u2019s top Streaming Gainer trophy, and jumps 6-3 on Streaming Songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quartet Eslabon Armado, from California, and Peso Pluma, from Mexico, each reach the Hot 100\u2019s top for the first time \u2013 as \u201cElla Baila Sola\u201d makes history as the first regional Mexican song ever to hit the Hot 100\u2019s top 10. The genre has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/regional-mexican-song-billboard-hot-100-chart\/\">surged<\/a>\u00a0this decade, thanks in part to exposure on TikTok and other social media, with Gera MX and Christian Nodal\u2019s \u201cBotella Tras Botella\u201d having become the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/pro\/gera-mx-christian-nodal-chart-first-regional-mexican-hit-hot-100\/\">first regional Mexican Hot 100 hit<\/a>\u00a0in May 2021, peaking at No. 60.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After \u201cElla Baila Sola,\u201d Peso Pluma also has the second-highest-charting regional Mexican Hot 100 hit: \u201cLa Bebe,\u201d with Yng Lvcas, rises to a new No. 17 best on the latest, April 22-dated chart. The next-highest-peaking such hits: Yahritza y Su Esencia\u2019s \u201cSoy El Unico\u201d (No. 20, April 2022 \u2013 it debuted at that rank, the highest entrance for a regional Mexican song) and Fuerza Regida and Grupo Frontera\u2019s \u201cBebe Dame\u201d (No. 25, this January).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among Latin genres, regional Mexican\u2019s arrival in the Hot 100\u2019s top 10 follows that of Latin pop, which, after English-language hits by Gloria Estefan in the 1980s (plus Los Lobos\u2019 \u201cLa Bamba,\u201d in Spanish) surged in the late \u201890s and beyond thanks to songs (in varying degrees of English and Spanish) by Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin, among other stars. At the same time, Marc Anthony helped tropical break through on the chart. In more recent years, Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi\u2019s pop-centered, mostly-Spanish-language \u201cDespacito,\u201d featuring Justin Bieber, spent a then-record-tying 16 weeks at No. 1 in 2017, while, this decade, Bad Bunny, with Spanish-language songs, has carried the torch for Latin rhythm in the top 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for Latin music overall, Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma earn the Hot 100\u2019s third Spanish-language top 10 this year, following two Latin pop hits: Bizarrap and Shakira\u2019s \u201cBzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53\u201d (No. 9, January) and Karol G and Shakira\u2019s \u201cTQG\u201d (No. 7, March).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cElla Baila Sola\u201d was released on Prajin Parlay\/DEL Records, both of which likewise appear in the Hot 100\u2019s top 10 for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collaboration concurrently achieves a second week at No. 1 on the multi-metric&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/latin-songs\/\">Hot Latin Songs<\/a>&nbsp;chart, where it became the first leader for both Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma. \u201cWe didn\u2019t expect for the song to make so much noise!\u201d Pedro Tovar, lead singer for the former act, and the song\u2019s sole author,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/eslabon-armado-peso-pluma-ella-baila-sola-hot-latin-songs-chart-1235301256\/\">told&nbsp;<em>Billboard<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;upon its coronation. \u201cI really liked the song when I first wrote it, but I didn\u2019t really expect it to be such a big hit.
