The single became the singer-songwriter\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/shaboozey-chappell-roan-hot-100-top-10\/\">first leader<\/a>\u00a0on the chart three weeks earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The song, on American Dogwood\/EMPIRE (with country radio promotion by Magnolia Music), is from the Virginia-born artist\u2019s album&nbsp;<em>Where I\u2019ve Been, Isn\u2019t Where I\u2019m Going<\/em>, which debuted at its No. 5 high on the Billboard 200 in June. It has spent two weeks at No. 1 on Americana\/Folk Albums and reached No. 2 on Top Country Albums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The track also became the first by a Black man, and second by a Black artist overall, after Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em\u201d earlier this year, to top both the Hot 100 and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/country-songs\/\">Hot Country Songs<\/a>&nbsp;charts. \u201cIt\u2019s a sign of the times \u2013 genres are merging, styles are blending and the audience\u2019s music taste is broader than ever,\u201d EMPIRE COO Nima Etminan recently&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/pro\/shaboozey-bar-song-tipsy-chart-radio-history-how\/\">told&nbsp;<em>Billboard<\/em><\/a>. \u201cArtists don\u2019t need to be put in boxes \u2013 whether it be by race, genre or eras. Good music is good music and the listeners largely get to dictate the charts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elsewhere in the Hot 100\u2019s top 10,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/teddy-swims\/\">Teddy Swims<\/a>\u2019 former No. 1 \u201cLose Control\u201d reaches a notable mark, tying for the 10th-most weeks spent in the bracket by any song so far in the 2020s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t7bQwwqW-Hc?si=-fwSyhzhy_SFFZrt\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d continues atop the Hot 100 with 85.1 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 10%, good for top Airplay Gainer honors for a fourth week), 37.3 million official streams (down 4%) and 15,000 sold (down 7%) in the United States July 19-25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The track rebounds 2-1 for a second week atop the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/streaming-songs\">Streaming Songs<\/a>&nbsp;chart, following a frame on top three weeks earlier; keeps at its No. 2 high on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/radio-songs\/\">Radio Songs<\/a>; and likewise holds at No. 2 after nine weeks ruling&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/digital-song-sales\/\">Digital Song Sales<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reflecting its wide&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/pro\/shaboozey-a-bar-song-tipsy-hit-songs-deconstructed-analysis\/\">sonic appeal<\/a>, \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy),\u201d which&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/rb-hip-hop\/j-kwon-tipsy-shaboozey-hood-hop-2004-1235665854\/\">interpolates<\/a>&nbsp;J-Kwon\u2019s 2004 hip-hop classic \u201cTipsy,\u201d became the first song ever to go top 10 on all four of the following&nbsp;<em>Billboard<\/em>&nbsp;radio charts, where it continues to gain: It&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/shaboozey-a-bar-song-tipsy-number-1-country-airplay-chart-1235741298\/\">jumps 3-1<\/a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/country-airplay\/\">Country Airplay<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 marking its first airplay chart domination \u2013 and 5-4 on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/rhythmic-40\/\">Rhythmic Airplay<\/a>&nbsp;and keeps at its Nos. 5 and 6 bests on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/pop-songs\/\">Pop Airplay<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/adult-pop-songs\/\">Adult Pop Airplay<\/a>, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s important that Shaboozey has been able to show that you can do that as an independent artist,\u201d Heather Vassar, senior vp of operations for EMPIRE in Nashville,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/pro\/shaboozey-a-bar-song-tipsy-multi-format-radio-success\/\">told&nbsp;<em>Billboard<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe had several offers from majors who wanted to work the record and it was really important that we were able to stay true to how we operate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d concurrently tops the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart for a seventh week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Post Malone\u2019s \u201cI Had Some Help,\u201d featuring Morgan Wallen, holds at No. 2 on the Hot 100 following six nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 beginning in May. It leads Radio Songs for a fifth week (85.5 million, up 1%) \u2013 as it&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/post-malone-morgan-wallen-i-had-some-help-number-one-pop-airplay-chart-1235741479\/\">ascends to No. 1<\/a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/pop-songs\/\">Pop Airplay<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 and shines atop the multimetric&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/summer-songs\">Songs of the Summer<\/a>&nbsp;chart for a ninth week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kendrick Lamar\u2019s \u201cNot Like Us\u201d keeps at No. 3 on the Hot 100, two weeks after it returned to the summit for a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/kendrick-lamar-not-like-us-number-one-second-week-hot-100\/\">second frame on top<\/a>. It tops the multimetric&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/rap-song\/\">Hot Rap Songs<\/a>&nbsp;chart for an 11th week and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/r-b-hip-hop-songs\/\">Hot R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Songs<\/a>&nbsp;for a ninth week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tommy Richman\u2019s \u201cMillion Dollar Baby\u201d repeats at No. 4 on the Hot 100, after hitting No. 2, as it banks a 13th week atop the multimetric&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/r-and-b-songs\/\">Hot R&amp;B Songs<\/a>&nbsp;chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s \u201cEspresso\u201d keeps at No. 5 on the Hot 100, after reaching No. 3, and her \u201cPlease Please Please\u201d dips 6-7, after it became her&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/sabrina-carpenter-please-please-please-number-1-hot-100\/\">first No. 1<\/a>&nbsp;in June.
