The song&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/ella-langley-choosin-texas-hot-100-number-one\/\">first led<\/a>&nbsp;the chart in February and added its second frame on top two weeks ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d ties for the most weeks ever spent atop the Hot 100 for a song by a woman that also hit No. 1 on&nbsp;<em>Billboard<\/em>\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/country-songs\/\">Hot Country Songs<\/a>&nbsp;chart, matching Taylor Swift\u2019s three-week reign with \u201cWe Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,\u201d her first Hot 100 leader, in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d and \u201cWe Are Never Ever Getting Back Together\u201d stand above three other No. 1 country hits by women that led the Hot 100 for two weeks each: Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em,\u201d in 2024, and Dolly Parton\u2019s \u201cIslands in the Stream,\u201d with Kenny Rogers (1983), and \u201c9 to 5\u201d (1981).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honorable mentions: Parton wrote \u201cI Will Always Love You,\u201d with Whitney Houston\u2019s cover crowning the Hot 100 for 14 weeks in 1992-93; Debby Boone\u2019s \u201cYou Light Up My Life\u201d ruled the Hot 100 for 10 weeks and hit No. 4 on Hot Country Songs in 1977; and Bobbie Gentry\u2019s \u201cOde to Billie Joe\u201d led the Hot 100 for four weeks in 1967, although it peaked at No. 17 on Hot Country Songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d concurrently tops Hot Country Songs for a 16th week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also in the Hot 100\u2019s top 10,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/harry-styles\/\">Harry Styles<\/a>\u2019 \u201cAmerican Girls\u201d debuts at No. 4 and his former No. 1 \u201cAperture\u201d surges 29-9. Both are from his new album,&nbsp;<em>Kiss All the Time.
