The superstar adds her fifth No. 1 on the chart with the song, whose video premiered May 22 during ABC&#8217;s broadcast of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/billboard-music-awards\">Billboard Music Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/news\/7461824\/adele-tour-staples-los-angeles-concert-recap\"><strong>Adele Brings Pathos, Comedy to Los Angeles Concert<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"teads-inread sm-screen\"><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;Send&#8221; follows Adele&#8217;s four prior Adult Pop Songs No. 1s: &#8220;Rolling in the Deep&#8221; (13 weeks), &#8220;Someone Like You&#8221; (nine) and &#8220;Set Fire to the Rain&#8221; (four), all from her album <em>21<\/em> in 2011-12, and lead <em>25<\/em> smash &#8220;Hello&#8221; (seven weeks beginning on the Dec. 5, 2015, chart). (In between &#8220;Hello&#8221; and &#8220;Send,&#8221; second <em>25<\/em> single &#8220;When We Were Young&#8221; reached No. 3 in March.)<\/p>\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><\/div>\n<p>With her new coronation, Adele ties Nickelback for fifth place among acts with the most No. 1s in the Adult Pop Songs chart&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/7262646\/greatest-adult-pop-music-hits-of-all-time-history\">20-year history<\/a>. The acts trail only Maroon 5 (11), Katy Perry, P!nk (eight each) and Taylor Swift (six).<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/7461747\/billboard-200-chart-moves-adele-25-sales\">previously reported<\/a>, <em>25<\/em>&#8216;s to-date U.S. sales stand at 8.9 million (over its first 37 weeks), according to Nielsen Music. <em>21<\/em> has sold 11.7 million.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/7262646\/greatest-adult-pop-music-hits-of-all-time-history\">Twenty Years of <em>Billboard<\/em>&#8216;s Adult Pop Songs Chart: It&#8217;s &#8216;Top 40 for People Over 25&#8217;<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the airplay\/sales\/streaming-based Billboard Hot 100, &#8220;Send&#8221; has reached No. 9.
