Plus,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/276089\/ed-sheeran\/chart\">Ed\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/276089\/ed-sheeran\/chart\">Sheeran<\/a>&#8216;s &#8220;Shape of You&#8221; ties the record for the most weeks logged in the top five and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/6143288\/shawn-mendes\/chart\">Shawn Mendes<\/a>\u00a0adds his third top 10, &#8220;There&#8217;s Nothing Holdin&#8217; Me Back.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As we do each\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_770552904\">Monday<\/span>, let&#8217;s run down the top 10 of the Hot 100, which blends all-genre streaming, airplay and sales data. All charts will update on Billboard.com\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_770552905\">tomorrow<\/span>\u00a0(<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_770552906\">July 18<\/span>), as they do every\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_770552907\">Tuesday<\/span>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"fitvid1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-x2TsQI9chA\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;Despacito&#8221; (released on Universal Music Latino \/ Raymond Braun \/ SchoolBoy \/ Def Jam \/ UMLE \/ Republic Records) becomes just the 35th single to top the Hot 100 for at least 10 weeks, dating to the chart&#8217;s Aug. 4, 1958, inception; only 3 percent of the Hot 100&#8217;s 1,065 total No. 1s have reached double-digit weeks at the summit.<\/p>\n<p>(Note that it&#8217;s been more common for songs to lead for at least 10 weeks since the Hot 100 adopted Nielsen Music data in late 1991; while before then, only 3 percent of all No. 1s led for that long, since then a loftier 11 percent of all No. 1s have done so, with 33 of the all-time 35 No. 1s to notch at least 10 weeks on top having reigned since 1992.)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Despacito&#8221; is the longest-leading Hot 100 No. 1 since Sheeran&#8217;s &#8220;Shape,&#8221; which ruled for 12 weeks in January through April. The record? Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men&#8217;s &#8220;One Sweet Day&#8221; led for 16 weeks, in 1995-96.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Despacito&#8221; dominates the Digital Song Sales chart for an 11th week, with 124,000 downloads sold (down 3 percent) in the week ending July 13, according to Nielsen Music; the remix with Bieber accounts for 77 percent of the song&#8217;s sales (just off its 78 percent share a week ago and in line with its breakdown in recent weeks). On the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/streaming-songs\">Streaming Songs<\/a>\u00a0chart, &#8220;Despacito&#8221; leads for a 10th week, with 60.3 million U.S. streams (down 2 percent) in the week ending July 13.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Despacito&#8221; again tops all three of the Hot 100&#8217;s main component charts, as it also leads the all-format\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/radio-songs\">Radio Songs<\/a>\u00a0chart for a second week with 145 million in all-format airplay audience (down 3 percent) in the week ending July 16. A week ago, the collab made history as the first predominantly Spanish-language song (or any song not sung primarily in English) to top Radio Songs, dating to the chart&#8217;s 1990 origin.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Despacito&#8221; commands the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/latin-songs\">Hot Latin Songs<\/a>\u00a0chart for a 24th week and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/summer-songs\">Songs of the Summer<\/a>\u00a0ranking for a sixth week, having led the latter list each week since it made its annual return just after Memorial Day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/299939\/dj-khaled\/chart\">DJ\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/299939\/dj-khaled\/chart\">Khaled<\/a>&#8216;s &#8220;Wild Thoughts,&#8221; featuring\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/365068\/rihanna\/chart\">Rihanna<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/6627423\/bryson-tiller\/chart\">Bryson Tiller<\/a>, rebounds from No. 4 to a new high of No. 2 on the Hot 100. It keeps at No. 2 on Streaming Songs (37.5 million, down 6 percent); drops 7-10 on Digital Song Sales (42,000, down 13 percent); and bounds 14-8 on Radio Songs (96 million, up 23 percent), boasting the Hot 100&#8217;s top airplay gain for a third week. Most notably, Rihanna earns her record-extending 29th Radio Songs top 10, bolstering her lead over Carey (23).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thoughts&#8221; additionally crowns the Hot R&amp;B\/Hip-Hop Songs chart (3-1), where it&#8217;s Rihanna&#8217;s seventh No. 1, Khaled &#8216;s third and Tiller&#8217;s first. On Hot R&amp;B Songs, &#8220;Thoughts&#8221; tallies a second nonconsecutive week on top (2-1).<\/p>\n<p>More Khaled: &#8220;I&#8217;m the One,&#8221; featuring Bieber,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/7740092\/quavo\/chart\">Quavo<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/4281953\/chance-the-rapper\/chart\">Chance the Rapper<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/307264\/lil-wayne\/chart\">Lil Wayne<\/a>, slips 2-3 on the Hot 100; it debuted atop the\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_770552908\">May 20<\/span>-dated chart. It leads Hot Rap Songs for an 11th week.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/298455\/bruno-mars\/chart\">Bruno Mars<\/a>&#8216; &#8220;That&#8217;s What I Like&#8221; dips 3-4 on the Hot 100; the song topped the\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_770552909\">May 13<\/span>-dated chart.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the Hot 100&#8217;s top five, Sheeran&#8217;s former 12-week No. 1 &#8220;Shape of You&#8221; remains at No. 5, while equaling the record for the most weeks spent in the top five: 27 (encompassing the song&#8217;s entire chart life, dating to its entrance at No. 1 on\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_770552910\">Jan. 28<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Here is a look at the singles to spend the most time in the Hot 100&#8217;s top five all-time:<\/p>\n<p><u>Weeks in Hot 100&#8217;s Top Five, Title, Artist, Peak Pos., Peak Date<\/u><\/p>\n<p>27 weeks, &#8220;Shape of You,&#8221; Ed Sheeran (No. 1, Jan. 28, 2017)<br \/>\n27 weeks, &#8220;Closer,&#8221; The Chainsmokers feat. Bruno Mars (No. 1, Jan. 17, 2015)<br \/>\n25 weeks, &#8220;How Do I Live,&#8221; LeAnn Rimes (No. 2, Dec. 13, 1997)<br \/>\n23 weeks, &#8220;The Twist,&#8221; Chubby Checker (No. 1, Sept. 19, 1960)<br \/>\n21 weeks, &#8220;Smooth,&#8221; Santana feat. Rob Thomas (No. 1, Oct. 23, 1999)<br \/>\n21 weeks, &#8220;Un-Break My Heart,&#8221; Toni Braxton (No. 1, Dec. 7, 1996)<\/p>\n<p>At this point in its run, airplay and streaming are driving the majority of the Hot 100 chart points for &#8220;Shape,&#8221; which ranks at No. 4 on Radio Songs (118 million, down 6 percent) and No. 11 on Streaming Songs (23.9 million, down 5 percent); it led the lists for 12 and four weeks, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/305702\/kendrick-lamar\/chart\">Kendrick Lamar<\/a>&#8216;s &#8220;Humble.,&#8221; which crowned the\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_770552911\">May 6<\/span>-dated Hot 100, holds at No. 6 and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/303738\/imagine-dragons\/chart\">Imagine Dragons<\/a>&#8216; &#8220;Believer&#8221; is steady at No. 7 (after hitting No. 6), while ruling Hot Rock Songs for a 19th week;\u00a0 as previously reported, &#8220;Believer&#8221; becomes the group&#8217;s first No. 1 on the Adult Pop Songs airplay chart.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"fitvid2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dT2owtxkU8k\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Shawn Mendes scores his third Hot 100 top 10, as &#8220;There&#8217;s Nothing Holdin&#8217; Me Back&#8221; charges 14-8. Helped by a 69-cent iTunes Store sale price, plus a new acoustic version (released July 7), &#8220;Back&#8221; lifts 3-2 on Digital Song Sales (and crowns Pop Digital Song Sales, where it rises 2-1), up 2 percent to 57,000 sold.
