The album was released on Aug. 25 through Generation Now\/Atlantic Records, and follows two earlier charting efforts for the artist.<\/p>\n<p>The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/6320099\/billboard-200-makeover-streams-digital-tracks\">multi-metric consumption<\/a>, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new\u00a0Sept. 16-dated chart (where\u00a0<em>Luv Is Rage 2<\/em>\u00a0debuts at No. 1) will be posted in full on\u00a0<em>Billboard<\/em>&#8216;s websites on Wednesday (Sept. 6) &#8212; one day later than usual, due to the U.S. Labor Day holiday on Sept. 4.<\/p>\n<p>Of\u00a0<em>Luv Is Rage 2\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0total debut units, 28,000 are in traditional album sales. The album is powered mostly by SEA units: 100,000 &#8212; translating to 150.6 million on-demand audio streams of the tracks on the album. The rest of the album\u2019s starting figure is 7,000 TEA units.<\/p>\n<div class=\"teads-inread sm-screen\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"embedded-content embedded-content--readmore is-embed-initialized\" data-nid=\"7941979\" data-nodetype=\"article\" data-template=\"readmore\"><\/div>\n<p><em>Luv Is Rage 2<\/em>\u2019s streaming sum of 100,000 SEA units is the largest for an album in nearly four months (since\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/305702\/kendrick-lamar\/chart\">Kendrick Lamar<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>DAMN.<\/em>\u00a0tallied 105,000 units in its third chart week; May 20) and the third-largest streaming debut of 2017 (behind\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/1490118\/drake\/chart\">Drake<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>More Life<\/em>, with 257,000 SEA units on the April 8 chart, and\u00a0<em>DAMN.\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0debut of 227,000 SEA units on the May 6 chart).<\/p>\n<p><em>Luv is Rage 2<\/em>\u00a0features the top 10-charting Billboard Hot 100 hit \u201cXO TOUR Llif3,\u201d which peaked at No. 7 in June.<\/p>\n<p>At No. 2 on the new Billboard 200, another rapper debuts, as XXXTentacion debuts with his first full-length studio effort\u00a0<em>17.<\/em>\u00a0It arrives with 87,000 units. Of that sum, 18,000 are in traditional album sales, 67,000 are in SEA units and 3,000 are in TEA units. Earlier in 2017, he notched a pair of Hot 100 hits with \u201cLook at Me!\u201d (peaking at No. 34) and \u201cRoll In Peace\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/7409876\/kodak-black\/chart\">Kodak Black<\/a>\u00a0featuring XXXTentacion, No. 53).<\/p>\n<div class=\"embedded-content embedded-content--readmore is-embed-initialized\" data-nid=\"7744318\" data-nodetype=\"article\" data-template=\"readmore\"><\/div>\n<p>XXXTentacion charted one previous set on the Billboard 200 with the\u00a0<em>Revenge<\/em>mixtape, hitting No. 44 in June.<\/p>\n<p>Rock band\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/277247\/queens-stone-age\/chart\">Queens of the Stone Age<\/a>\u00a0earns its fifth top 40-charting album as\u00a0<em>Villains<\/em>starts at No. 3 with 73,000 units (69,000 in traditional album sales). The group previously hit the top 10 with its last album,\u00a0<em>\u2026Like Clockwork<\/em>\u00a0(No. 1 in 2013) and 2005\u2019s\u00a0<em>Lullabies to Paralyze<\/em>\u00a0(No. 5).<\/p>\n<p><em>Villains<\/em>\u00a0is also the best selling album of the week, as it starts at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart.<\/p>\n<p>Pop vocal group\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/5665538\/fifth-harmony\/chart\">Fifth Harmony<\/a>\u00a0claims its fourth top 10 effort on the Billboard 200, as its new self-titled album bows at No. 4 with 46,000 units (32,000 in traditional album sales). The girl group\u2019s last album,\u00a0<em>7\/27<\/em>, also debuted and peaked at No. 4 in 2016 (74,000 in units and 49,000 in sales). Before\u00a0<em>7\/27<\/em>, the group collected top 10s with\u00a0<em>Reflection<\/em>\u00a0(No. 5 in 2015) and the\u00a0<em>Better Together<\/em>\u00a0EP (No. 6 in 2013).<\/p>\n<p>With four top 10 albums, Fifth Harmony equals the number of top 10 sets from fellow all-female acts Destiny\u2019s Child and Dixie Chicks. Among all-female groups, only The Supremes have more, with eight top 10s logged between 1965 and 1969.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embedded-content embedded-content--readmore is-embed-initialized\" data-nid=\"7949115\" data-nodetype=\"article\" data-template=\"readmore\"><\/div>\n<p>Kendrick Lamar\u2019s former No. 1\u00a0<em>DAMN.<\/em>\u00a0slips from No. 3 to No. 5 with 45,000 units (though it\u2019s up 11 percent). The set spends its 20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0consecutive week in the top five, since debuting at No. 1 on the May 6-dated chart.<\/p>\n<p>Rap collective\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/6865323\/aap-mob\/chart\">A$AP Mob<\/a>\u00a0follows up its No. 13-peaking\u00a0<em>Cozy Tapes, Vol. 1: Friends<\/em>with the new\u00a0<em>Cozy Tapes, Vol. 2: Too Cozy<\/em>, which launches at No. 6. The new effort bows with 41,000 units (7,000 in traditional album sales) and is mostly powered by streams (32,000 SEA units). The first\u00a0<em>Cozy Tapes<\/em>\u00a0effort started with 21,000 units back on the Nov. 19, 2016-dated list.<\/p>\n<p>Trailing A$AP Mob by a small margin, country group\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/6282598\/old-dominion\/chart\">Old Dominion<\/a>\u00a0debuts at No. 7 on the new Billboard 200 with its second-full length studio album\u00a0<em>Happy Endings<\/em>(41,000 units; 31,000 in album sales), granting the act its highest charting effort yet. The album was led by the single \u201cNo Such Thing as a Broken Heart,\u201d which reached No. 5 on the Hot Country Songs chart and No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart. Old Dominion previously reached the Billboard 200 with its first studio set,\u00a0<em>Meat and Candy\u00a0<\/em>(No. 16 in 2015) and its self-titled EP (No. 148 in 2015).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/7414979\/khalid\/chart\">Khalid<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>American Teen<\/em>\u00a0moves 6-8 with 33,000 units (up 15 percent) while Kodak Black\u2019s\u00a0<em>Project Baby Two<\/em>\u00a0falls 2-9 in its second week with just under 33,000 units (down 34 percent).<\/p>\n<div class=\"embedded-content embedded-content--readmore is-embed-initialized\" data-nid=\"7940929\" data-nodetype=\"article\" data-template=\"readmore\"><\/div>\n<p>Rock band\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/419402\/war-drugs\/chart\">The War on Drugs<\/a>\u00a0lands its first top 10 effort as its fourth studio album,\u00a0<em>A Deeper Understanding<\/em>, starts at No. 10 with 31,000 units (28,000 in traditional album sales).
