Of that sum, 232,000 were in traditional album sales. The set\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/8039679\/taylor-swift-reputation-debuts-no-1-billboard-200-albums\">debuted atop the list a week ago<\/a>\u00a0with 1.238 million units, of which 1.216 million were in album sales.<\/p>\n<p>The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/6320099\/billboard-200-makeover-streams-digital-tracks\">multi-metric consumption<\/a>, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new\u00a0Dec. 9-dated chart (where\u00a0<em>Reputation\u00a0<\/em>holds at No. 1) will be posted in full on Billboard&#8217;s websites on Tuesday (Nov. 28).<\/p>\n<p><em>Reputation<\/em>\u00a0is the first album to spend multiple weeks at No. 1 on the chart in four months, since\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/jay-z\">JAY-Z<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>4:44<\/em>\u00a0topped the list for two weeks (July 29 and Aug. 5-dated charts). Further,\u00a0<em>Reputation<\/em>\u00a0is the first album by a woman to rack up more than a single week at No. 1 in more than a year-and-a-half.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/rihanna\/chart\">Rihanna<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>ANTI<\/em>\u00a0was the last to do so, with two nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Feb. 20 and April 2, 2016-dated charts. And\u00a0Swift is the first woman to notch her\u00a0<em>first two<\/em>\u00a0weeks at No. 1 on the chart since\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/adele\/chart\">Adele<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>25<\/em>\u00a0ruled for its first seven frames (of 10 total nonconsecutive weeks) between Dec. 12, 2015 and Jan. 23, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Reputation<\/em>\u00a0album continues to remain unavailable on streaming services, aside from the set\u2019s four pre-release tracks: \u201cLook What You Made Me Do,\u201d \u201c\u2026Ready for It?,\u201d \u201cGorgeous\u201d and \u201cCall It What You Want.\u201d In turn, the album\u2019s SEA units are rather small: 10,000. However, the album\u2019s TEA units actually increase (13,000; up 63 percent) as the album became widely available to buy via all digital retailers (after a week of exclusivity in the iTunes Store), and all of its songs became available for purchase a la carte. In its first week at iTunes, only the four pre-release songs were available to buy as stand-alone tracks.<\/p>\n<p>At No. 2 on the Billboard 200, superstar country couple\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/tim-mcgraw\/chart\">Tim McGraw<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/faith-hill\/chart\">Faith Hill<\/a>debut with their first collaborative effort,\u00a0<em>The Rest of Our Life<\/em>. The album earned 104,000 units, of which 98,000 were in traditional album sales. The title\u2019s debut grants McGraw his best sales week and chart rank since 2013\u2019s\u00a0<em>Two Lanes of Freedom<\/em>\u00a0debuted and peaked at No. 2 with 107,000 copies sold in its first week. For Hill, the new set lands the diva her highest charting effort since her\u00a0<em>Fireflies<\/em>\u00a0set debuted at No. 1 on the Aug. 20, 2005 list, and her best sales frame since that Christmas, when\u00a0<em>Fireflies<\/em>\u00a0sold 145,000 copies in the week ending Dec. 25.<\/p>\n<p>The debut week of\u00a0<em>The Rest of Our Life<\/em>\u00a0was aided by a concert\u00a0ticket\/album\u00a0bundle\u00a0sale\u00a0redemption promotion with McGraw and Hill\u2019s 2018 tour.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/sam-smith\/chart\">Sam Smith<\/a>\u2019s former No. 1,\u00a0<em>The Thrill of It All<\/em>, dips one spot to No. 3 with 58,000 units (down 11 percent).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/garth-brooks\/chart\">Garth Brooks<\/a>\u2019 new box set,\u00a0<em>The Anthology: Part I, The First Five Years<\/em>, opens at No. 4 with 53,000 units \u2014 all from traditional album sales. (The album was released on Nov. 14,\u00a0and only available on CD and withheld from streaming services.) The five-CD archival effort was bundled with Brooks\u2019 new book about the first five years of his recording career.<\/p>\n<p>The box set\u2019s first three days of sales (Nov. 14-16) were not reported to Nielsen Music, so the title arrives on the list with its first full tracking week of activity (Nov. 17-Nov. 23). Had its first three days of sales been reported, the box would have debuted on the chart a week ago.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Anthology: Part I<\/em>\u00a0is Brooks\u2019 19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0top 10 album\u00a0and fourth box set to reach the top 10.\u00a0<em>Anthology<\/em>\u00a0follows the 10-CD\u00a0<em>The Ultimate Collection\u00a0<\/em>(No. 6, 2016), the six-CD\u00a0<em>Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences<\/em>\u00a0(No. 1, 2013) and the six-CD\u00a0<em>The Limited Series<\/em>\u00a0(No. 1, 1998).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/pentatonix\/chart\">Pentatonix<\/a>\u2019s former Billboard 200 No. 1\u00a0<em>A Pentatonix Christmas<\/em>, released a little over a year ago, returns to the top 10, rising 17-5 with 47,000 units (up 131 percent) and 40,000 in traditional album sales (up 150 percent). The album jumps back to the top 10 as consumers start shifting into holiday music mode \u2014 the set is one of four Christmas albums within the top 40. The title will likely see another significant gain next week following the\u00a0premiere of the group\u2019s new NBC TV special,\u00a0<em>A Very Pentatonix Christmas<\/em>\u00a0(Nov. 27).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/pnk\/chart\">P!nk<\/a>\u2019s chart-topping\u00a0<em>Beautiful Trauma<\/em>\u00a0rallies 16-6 (44,000 units; up 95 percent) following her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/events\/amas\/8039539\/pink-beautiful-trauma-amas-2017\">high-flying performance of the album\u2019s title track on the American Music Awards<\/a>\u00a0(Nov. 19, ABC).
