Of that sum, 131,000 were in traditional album sales (down 43 percent).<\/p>\n<p>The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/6320099\/billboard-200-makeover-streams-digital-tracks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/6320099\/billboard-200-makeover-streams-digital-tracks&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1512407429176000&amp;usg=AFQjCNF3ZPgD00HcdOiK4H72ePmWx1x0_A\">multi-metric consumption<\/a>, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_36864445\">Dec. 16<\/span>-dated chart (where\u00a0<em>Reputation\u00a0<\/em>holds at No. 1) will be posted in full on\u00a0<em>Billboard<\/em>&#8216;s websites\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_36864446\">on Tuesday<\/span>\u00a0(<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_36864447\">Dec. 5<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Only four albums have spent three or more weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2017:<em>\u00a0Reputation<\/em>,\u00a0<em>DAMN.<\/em>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/drake\/chart\">Drake<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>More Life<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/the-weeknd\/chart\">The Weeknd<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>Starboy<\/em>.\u00a0<em>DAMN.<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>More Life<\/em>\u00a0both spent three weeks atop the list, while\u00a0<em>Starboy<\/em>\u00a0claimed four frames at No. 1 in 2017, following one week at No. 1 in 2016, when it debuted at No. 1 (Dec. 27, 2016-dated list). Remarkably, the last album by a woman to earn\u00a0at least\u00a0three weeks at No. 1 was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/adele\/chart\">Adele<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>25<\/em>, which clocked 10 nonconsecutive weeks in the penthouse between its chart-topping debut on Dec. 12, 2015 and its final week at No. 1 on March 12, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>After two weeks where the\u00a0<em>Reputation<\/em>\u00a0album was not available in full through streaming services (only its four pre-release tracks could be played), the entire set was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/news\/8054816\/taylor-swift-reputation-streaming-services\">made available to all streamers on Dec. 1<\/a>. The album should see a spike in streaming activity on next week\u2019s chart (covering the streaming, and sales, tracking week ending\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_36864448\">Dec. 7<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, back on this week\u2019s new chart,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/pentatonix\/chart\">Pentatonix<\/a>\u2019s former No. 1,\u00a0<em>A Pentatonix Christmas<\/em>, surges from No. 5 to No. 2 with 70,000 units (up 47 percent), of which 56,000 were in album sales (up 41 percent). The set\u00a0(which topped the Jan. 7 and Jan. 14, 2017-dated Billboard 200 following its 2016 release)\u00a0rises following the Nov. 27 premiere of the group\u2019s NBC special\u00a0<em>A Very Pentatonix Christmas<\/em>\u00a0and sale pricing and promotion in the iTunes Store (where the album was marked down to $6.99).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/sam-smith\/chart\">Sam Smith<\/a>\u2019s former leader,\u00a0<em>The Thrill of It All<\/em>, holds steady at No. 3 with 62,000 units (up 6 percent), with 36,000 of that sum in pure album sales (up 10 percent).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/garth-brooks\/chart\">Garth Brooks<\/a>\u2019 box set,\u00a0<em>The Anthology: Part I, The First Five Years<\/em>, is a non-mover at No. 4 in its second chart week, with 57,000 equivalent album units (up 7 percent, all in traditional album sales). The box set, which is only available on CD, rises following sale pricing timed to the Black\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_36864449\">Friday<\/span>\u00a0shopping holiday on Nov. 24.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/ed-sheeran\/chart\">Ed Sheeran<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>\u00f7<\/em>\u00a0(<em>Divide<\/em>) jumps 9-5 with 42,000 units (up 3 percent), Post Malone\u2019s\u00a0<em>Stoney<\/em>\u00a0skips 10-6 with a little\u00a0over\u00a037,000 units (down 5 percent),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/pnk\/chart\">P!nk<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>Beautiful Trauma<\/em>\u00a0slips one rung to No. 7 with 37,000 units (down 16 percent)\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/lil-uzi-vert\/chart\">Lil Uzi Vert<\/a>&#8216;s\u00a0<em>Luv Is Rage 2<\/em>\u00a0is stationary at No. 8 with 35,000 units (down 15 percent).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/michael-buble\/chart\">Michael Bubl\u00e9<\/a>\u2019s former No. 1,\u00a0<em>Christmas<\/em>, returns to the\u00a0Billboard 200&#8217;s\u00a0top 10, as vaults from No. 23 to No. 9 with 34,000 units (up 61 percent), with 17,000 in traditional album sales (up 52 percent). The holiday favorite topped the Billboard 200 for five consecutive weeks in December of 2011\u00a0(its release year)\u00a0and January of 2012. It has since revisited the top 10 every year during the holiday season, from Christmastime in\u00a02012\u00a0through this year.<\/p>\n<p>Closing out the top 10 is the region\u2019s only debuting title: rappers\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/fabolous\/chart\">Fabolous<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/jadakiss\/chart\">Jadakiss<\/a>\u2019 collaborative album\u00a0<em><span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_36864450\">Friday<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<em>o<\/em><em>n<\/em><em>\u00a0Elm Street<\/em>. The set starts at No. 10 with 33,000 units (18,000 in traditional album sales). The effort grants Fabolous his sixth top 10 set (and first since the No. 1\u00a0<em>Loso<\/em><em>\u2019s Way<\/em>\u00a0in 2009) and Jadakiss his fifth.
