Of that sum, 65,000 were in traditional album sales. Cabello is the first woman in three years to hit No. 1 with her debut full-length album.<\/p>\n<p><em>Camila<\/em>\u00a0was released on January 12 through SYCO\/Epic Records.<\/p>\n<p>The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/6320099\/billboard-200-makeover-streams-digital-tracks\">multi-metric consumption<\/a>, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new\u00a0Jan. 27-dated chart (where\u00a0<em>Camila<\/em>\u00a0debuts at No. 1) will be posted in full on Billboard\u2019s websites on Tuesday, Jan. 23.<\/p>\n<p><em>Camila<\/em>\u2019s launch of 119,000 is larger than expected, as some\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/8094497\/camila-cabello-greatest-showman-billboard-200\">industry forecasters projected<\/a>\u00a0the set would begin with around 90,000 units, and was in a race for No. 1 with the soundtrack to\u00a0<em>The Greatest Showman<\/em>. As it turns out,\u00a0<em>The Greatest Showman<\/em>\u2014 which had spent the past two weeks at No. 1 \u2014 falls to No. 2 with 104,000 units (increasing by 1 percent compared to the previous week).\u00a0<em>The Greatest Showman<\/em>actually beats\u00a0<em>Camila<\/em>\u00a0in traditional album sales (70,000 vs. 65,000) and is the top-selling album of the week.\u00a0<em>Camila<\/em>\u00a0was able to come out on top on the Billboard 200 over\u00a0<em>The Greatest Showman<\/em>\u00a0thanks to TEA units and SEA units.\u00a0<em>Camila<\/em>\u00a0earned 16,000 TEA units (vs. 8,000 for\u00a0<em>Showman<\/em>) and 38,000 SEA units (vs. 26,000 for\u00a0<em>Showman<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Cabello is the first woman to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with her debut full-length album in three years \u2013 since\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/meghan-trainor\/chart\">Meghan Trainor<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>Title<\/em>\u00a0(also on Epic) opened atop the list dated Jan. 31, 2015. (Trainor had a previous EP, also named\u00a0<em>Title<\/em>, which reached No. 15.) If we count all initial chart appearances by women (including EPs), Cabello is the first woman to top the list with her first overall charting effort since\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/ariana-grande\/chart\">Ariana Grande<\/a>\u00a0bowed at No. 1 with her first full-length album \u2014 and chart debut \u2014\u00a0<em>Yours Truly<\/em>\u00a0on Sept. 21, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Cabello also joins an exclusive club of female performers who initially reached the Billboard 200 as part of a group, and then later hit No. 1 with a solo album. Cabello was formerly a member of the all-female vocal group\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/fifth-harmony\/chart\">Fifth Harmony<\/a>, which claimed three top 10s while Cabello was in the group. Cabello departed Fifth Harmony in December of 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Cabello follows\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/gwen-stefani\/chart\">Gwen Stefani<\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/no-doubt\/chart\">No Doubt<\/a>),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/beyonce\/chart\">Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/letoya\/chart\">LeToya<\/a>\u00a0(both of Destiny\u2019s Child),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/lauryn-hill\/chart\">Lauryn Hill<\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/fugees\/chart\">Fugees<\/a>),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/patti-labelle\/chart\">Patti LaBelle<\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/labelle\/chart\">Labelle<\/a>),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/stevie-nicks\/chart\">Stevie Nicks<\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/fleetwood-mac\/chart\">Fleetwood Mac<\/a>),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/linda-ronstadt\/chart\">Linda Ronstadt<\/a>\u00a0(The Stone Poneys),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/diana-ross\/chart\">Diana Ross<\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/the-supremes\/chart\">The Supremes<\/a>) and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/janis-joplin\/chart\">Janis Joplin<\/a>\u00a0(Big Brother and the Holding Company). (Honorary mention goes to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/selena-gomez\/chart\">Selena Gomez<\/a>, who notched three albums first with Selena Gomez &amp; The Scene, before going totally solo with the No. 1 album\u00a0<em>Stars Dance<\/em>\u00a0in 2013.)<\/p>\n<p>In addition, as Cabello is just 20 years and 10 months old, she is the youngest person to debut at No. 1 with their first full-length album since 2015, when a 16-year-old\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/shawn-mendes\/chart\">Shawn Mendes<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/6538916\/shawn-mendes-handwritten-debut-no-1-billboard-200-chart\">opened at No. 1<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0<em>Handwritten<\/em>\u00a0on the May 2, 2015-dated chart. Powered largely by streams, the set collected 25,000 in SEA units, equaling 37 million on-demand audio streams for its songs during the tracking week.
