Essentially all of its sum is traditional album sales. The surge back to No. 1 is owed nearly entirely to sales generated by a concert ticket\/album sale redemption offer with Bon Jovi\u2019s upcoming U.S. arena tour.<\/p>\n<p>The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/6320099\/billboard-200-makeover-streams-digital-tracks\">multi-metric consumption<\/a>, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new\u00a0March 10-dated chart (where Bon Jovi returns to No. 1) will be posted in full on\u00a0<em>Billboard<\/em>&#8216;s websites on Tuesday (March 6).<\/p>\n<p><em>This House Is Not for Sale<\/em>\u00a0first led the Billboard 200 on Nov. 26, 2016, when it\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/7573590\/bon-jovi-sixth-no-1-album-billboard-200-charts-this-house-is-not-for-sale\">opened<\/a>\u00a0in the penthouse with 129,000 units (128,000 in album sales),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/7573590\/bon-jovi-sixth-no-1-album-billboard-200-charts-this-house-is-not-for-sale\">also driven<\/a>by a ticket\/album sale redemption offer. The set marked the band\u2019s sixth chart-topper.<\/p>\n<p>Bon Jovi\u2019s tour kicks off on March 14 at the Pepsi Center in Denver. The 24-date U.S. trek is slated to wrap on May 24 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. In total, Billboard estimates the tour may sell between 350,000 and 375,000 tickets.<\/p>\n<p>For the tour\u2019s ticket\/album sale redemption offer, the price of the standard CD edition of\u00a0<em>This House Is Not for Sale<\/em>\u00a0was bundled into the purchase price of each ticket sold online to the tour. Customers received, via email, a redemption offer for the album, where they could choose to redeem the CD and have it mailed to them. The only sales that count towards the charts are those albums that are redeemed by customers. Many ticket buyers never redeem the offer.<\/p>\n<p><em>This House Is Not for Sale<\/em>\u00a0is the third album to re-enter the Billboard 200 straight in at No. 1, following Prince&#8217;s\u00a0<em>The Very Best of Prince<\/em>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/7341816\/prince-number-1-and-2-on-billboard-200-albums-chart-very-best-of-purple-rain-albums\">coming back to the chart at\u00a0No. 1<\/a>following his death in 2016, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chris-stapleton\">Chris Stapleton<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>Traveller<\/em>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/6754084\/chris-stapleton-soars-to-no-1-on-billboard-200-albums-chart\">after his big night<\/a>\u00a0on the 2015 Country Music Association Awards.\u00a0Further,\u00a0<em>This House Is Not for Sale<\/em>\u2019s 15-month gap between stints at No. 1\u00a0is the longest amount of time for an album to reclaim\u00a0the summit.<\/p>\n<p>At No. 2 on the new Billboard 200,\u00a0<em>Black Panther: The Album<\/em>\u00a0moves down a slot after two weeks atop the list. The set earned 99,000 units (down 24 percent).\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/migos\">Migos<\/a>\u2019\u00a0<em>Culture II<\/em>\u00a0dips 2-3 with 59,000 units (down 7 percent).<\/p>\n<p>Rapper 6ix9ine arrives at No. 4 with his debut effort,\u00a0<em>Day69<\/em>, earning 55,000 units. Of that sum, 20,000 were in traditional album sales and 2,000 were in TEA units. Streams drove the bulk of the debut, as the set garnered 33,000 SEA units, equaling 50 million on-demand audio streams for the album\u2019s tracks in the week ending March 1.<\/p>\n<p>The 21-year-old artist (born Daniel Hernandez) only recently made his\u00a0<em>Billboard<\/em>chart debut with the hit single \u201cGummo.\u201d The song debuted on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/hot-100\">Billboard Hot 100<\/a>\u00a0chart dated Dec. 2, 2017, on its way to a No. 12 peak (Dec. 30). Through Feb. 22, the song had generated 312 million on-demand audio and video streams.<\/p>\n<p>Following \u201cGummo,\u201d he dropped two further tracks &#8212; \u201cKooda,\u201d and \u201cKeke,\u201d with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/fetty-wap\">Fetty Wap<\/a>\u00a0and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.\u201d Both tunes also hit the Hot 100, and combined, the three tracks have amassed more than a half-billion on-demand streams. All three songs are featured on the 11-track\u00a0<em>Day69<\/em>\u00a0album.<\/p>\n<p>The soundtrack to\u00a0<em>The Greatest Showman<\/em>\u00a0falls 3-5 with 53,000 units (down 14 percent). It\u2019s likely the album could see a rise on next week\u2019s chart, following the 90th Academy Awards broadcast on ABC March 4. The show will feature a performance of the album\u2019s \u201cThis Is Me,\u201d which is nominated for best original song.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/ed-sheeran\">Ed Sheeran<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>\u00f7<\/em>\u00a0(<em>Divide<\/em>) rises 7-6 with a little more than 39,000 units (up 5 percent), while Post Malone\u2019s\u00a0<em>Stoney<\/em>\u00a0climbs 9-7 with 39,000 units (up 24 percent). The latter likely gains due to excitement surrounding his new single \u201cPsycho,\u201d featuring Ty Dolla $ign, which was released on Feb. 23 &#8212; but is not included on\u00a0<em>Stoney<\/em>. (As\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/8224950\/post-malone-psycho-ty-dolla-sign-headed-for-hot-100-top-five\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/8224950\/post-malone-psycho-ty-dolla-sign-headed-for-hot-100-top-five&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1520277068834000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGcvxyucrJq2YQKMNklGjAlYIzh7w\">previously reported<\/a>,\u00a0\u201cPsycho\u201d should start in the top five, perhaps as high as No. 2, on the\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_451090205\">March 10<\/span>-dated Billboard Hot 100.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/imagine-dragons\">Imagine Dragons<\/a>\u2019\u00a0<em>Evolve<\/em>\u00a0ascends 13-8 on the Billboard 200 with 31,000 units (up 32 percent), following the album\u2019s reissue on Feb. 21 with the band\u2019s new track, \u201cNext to Me,\u201d and sale pricing for the set in the iTunes Store.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/kendrick-lamar\">Kendrick Lamar<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>DAMN.<\/em>moves 8-9 with 29,000 units (down 11 percent).<\/p>\n<p>Singer-songwriter\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/vance-joy\">Vance Joy<\/a>\u00a0earns his first Billboard 200 top 10 album, as his second effort,\u00a0<em>Nation of Two<\/em>, bows at No. 10 with 28,000 units (18,000 in album sales). He first reached the list with his first set,\u00a0<em>Dream Your Life Away<\/em>, which debuted and peaked at No. 17 on Sept. 17, 2014, and has earned 1 million in equivalent album units (339,000 in traditional album sales).<\/p>\n<p><em>Dream<\/em>\u00a0launched his hit single \u201cRiptide,\u201d which peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 1 for five weeks on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/alternative-songs\">Alternative Songs<\/a>, No. 2 on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/rock-songs\">Hot Rock Songs<\/a>, and went top 10 on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/triple-a\">Adult Alternative Songs<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/adult-pop-songs\">Adult Pop Songs<\/a>. The new album was led by the single \u201cLay It on Me,\u201d which premiered last July, and spent three weeks atop the Adult Alternative Songs chart, and went top five on Alternative Songs.
